Urban space is a tapestry of many features. People, Nature, and Water are fundamental features of life in an Urban Tapestry. The key concept for the Tainan Axis transformation is to weave these features together in a balanced and beautiful way to create a successful urban space.
The site is located in Tainan, a rare site where the crossing of blue ribbon and green grass can be seen alongside with traditionally famous Tainan cuisines and local traditions. The core concept design is based on these three elements to form a new appearance for Tainan. Firstly, the weaving technique is to introduce the canal water to the banks then to integrate the canal with the sites greenery and lastly to attract human activities on bothsides of the banks. This in return will be a result of a energetic and wise built environment.
